Save Our Youth-Fitness For Life “SOYFFL” is a Non Profit 501c-3 Charitable Organization, founded by a team of concerned business professionals and former athletes, who want to make a difference in our children’s daily lives. We know that mental, spiritual, and physical activity is the key to our children’s success and the foundation of their future. Research has demonstrated the alarming number of risk factors that children exhibit and how physical, activity can play an important role in reducing these risk factors. Our motto is “YES YOU CAN” BE FIT FOR LIFE”
Save Our Youth Fitness For Life “SOYFFL” is also a Traveling Mobile Fitness and Wellness Training Unit, which allows us to provide physical fitness programs, track & field training as well as, information regarding health and wellness directly into our Bay Area Schools.
SOYFFL has provided After School Fitness Programs to Pittsburg Unified School District and Mount Diablo Unified School District. Also, forming; “SOYFFL” Youth Running / Track & Field – After School Program for Kindergarten – 5th grade.
The program includes; the basic fundamentals of physical fitness and a great opportunity for the youth to compete with others. Proper hydration, nutritional information and financial wellness that talks about, needs verses wants and ordering regular meals “NOT” super size. Controlling simple habits can help with the decisions we make in life.
Our objective is that every child can do something as they participate in group activities and learn a team approach. Developing self-esteem while learning how to stay focused, establishing personal commitment, finishing what you start, while doing their best and learning how to play with others. The SOYFFL – After School Youth Fitness / Track & Field Program teaches the basic fundamentals of fitness, nutrition and obesity prevention.
Partnering with the American Diabetes Association, SOYFFL presented a series of workshops to Martin Luther King Jr, Junior High on topics such as; What is Diabetes, “ How to lower Your Risk of Diabetes”, “WIZDOM” The Power to Make Wize Choices, Be Sugar Savy and “Fast Food Mania”.
