SOYFFL successfully collaborated 2010-2013 with the Pittsburgh & Mt. Diablo Unified School District After School Program, grades k-8.
SOYFFL- After School Youth Fitness Track & Field program is a great opportunity for the our youth to compete with others.
The objective is that every child can do something as they participate in group activities and learn a team approach. Developing self-esteem while learning how to stay focused, establishing personal commitment,finishing what you start, while doing their best and learning how to play with others. The SOYFFL – After School Youth Fitness / Track & Field Program teaches the basic fundamentals of fitness, nutrition and obesity prevention.
Our Mission is to decrease the alarming rise of obesity among our youth. Our objective is to foster and encourage youth activities through Physical Fitness and Nutritional Growth.
Since Physical Education is no longer offered in some public schools, in 2010, Save Our Youth Fitness For Life “SOYFFL” launched a Traveling Mobile Training Unit into Pittsburg Unified School District and Mount Diablo Unified School District, forming; “SOYFFL” Youth Running Club – After School Program for 1st to 5th graders in partnership with the American Diabetes Association at MLK Jr High School and workshops in the Unified Pittsburg School District in 2014.
